Childhood Revisited: The Art of Chris Cosnowski, Magdelena Murua, Irene Pressner, & Andrés Michelena

Chris Cosnowski (b. 1968), I’ll Have Another, oil on canvas, 2012

Chris Cosnowski, Magdelena Murua, Irene Pressner, and Andres Michelena – I don’t know about you but I adore an artist that gives the viewer a gleeful representation of a childhood memory. Of course, that representation has to be skillfully executed to even garner my attention but when it is done well, I can’t stop looking at it (and wishing I had it hanging on my wall!).

While the art of these four artists are so very different, from their subject matter to their medium, each one has the ability to engage the viewer through the use of familiar themes and subject matter.
